2016 Gewurztraminer

The grapes for this Gewurztraminer are from the Alisos Vineyard in the Los Alamos Valley. This is a very cool growing region, which is what the varietal prefers.

The wine was made in the traditional Alsatian method, fermented to dryness. Gewurztraminers are extremely aromatic and pair nicely with seafood and spicy dishes.


Winemaker's comment:
Alisos Canyon is located north-east Of the town of Los Alamos. One of the few plantings of Gewuztraminer in Santa Barbara County.

This dry version is extremely aromatic and spicy. It goes superbly with Asian cuisine and traditional Alsatian fare.
